District Representative Committee (DRC)

formerly the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)

The District Representative Committee (DRC) is a newly formed committee of the PAB.  It was previously named the Parent Advisory Committee (PAB).We aim to have one representative from each school district served by SEDOL.  The individuals on this committee will help improve communications between the PAB and the schools in member districts.

The Essential Functions are:

  • Work with district, SEDOL sector and school personnel, along with the SEDOL Parent advisory Board and Committee to identify opportunities to enhance home-school communication.

  • Gather and provide information to the PAB and PAC regarding the following with in their district
  • Channels and methods of home-school communication
  • The existence of a parent support group
  • Activities promoting collaborative school-family relationships

  • Attend and particiapte in periodic PAC orientation, trainings, and meetings

  • May be asked to lead and initiative (Ex., establish a parent support group)
Individuals who wish to join the DRC should contact the PAB.   They will be asked to attend the next scheduled orientation as well as some other training during the year.
